About the apartment

Mughetto is a spacious two-story vacation apartment that sleeps 6 guests. It features two bedrooms—one with four beds and one with two beds—as well as a classic kitchen equipped with all the necessary appliances. On the first floor, you have access to a large balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains. The balcony is shared with the neighbor and is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a cup of hot cocoa while the sun sets behind the mountains.

Location and Transportation

Both Bolzano and Milan airports are within easy reach, giving you flexible travel options. The drive from Bolzano Airport takes about 1½ hours. The drive from Milan Airport takes 3½ hours. We recommend renting a car, as it gives you the freedom to explore the area and go on excursions in the mountains.

The property is centrally located in Folgarida, just a few minutes’ walk from the nearest ski lift, which takes you directly to Marilleva. From there, you can easily continue on to Madonna di Campiglio, which together form a ski area with approximately 120 kilometers of slopes. In the summer, you can take the lift to the mountaintops, where the air is fresh, the views are endless, and melted snow has created small, sparkling mountain lakes.

There were six of us adults on a ski vacation during Week 10 of 2026. Plenty of snow, sunshine, and hardly any lines at the lifts. It’s fantastic that you practically step right out of the cabin and you’re already on your skis. If you’re traveling with young people, keep in mind that après-ski is practically nonexistent here. Six adults can easily stay in the cabin if you don’t mind being a bit cramped. Two of the young people brought an air mattress and slept in the hallway between the two bedrooms. They could have stayed in the room for four people, so that’s also an option. The drive to Trento is a bit longer (3–4 extra hours) than most places in Austria, but I think it’s totally worth it. Especially since the town is at an elevation of 1,400 meters, which makes snowfall pretty much guaranteed. This won’t be the last time we rent this place in Folgarida.

It’s nice to have new sofas in the living room.
Close to the slopes—just cross the road and pass the small playground, and it’s less than 100 meters away.
For bulk shopping, head to Malé—a 15-minute drive from Folgarida down in the valley. There are 3 large supermarkets and a “Chinese market” here, which has everything you need for the home.

  3. Leo Nielsen

A nice and cozy ski apartment located close to the slope that leads down to the lift.
The apartment is nicely decorated and well-equipped. It can accommodate 6–7 guests.
The ski area is a pleasure to ski in and offers a nice challenge for a week-long ski vacation. There are plenty of restaurants in the ski area.
Unfortunately, the apartment is a bit far from the restaurants, and it requires a long walk or a drive to get there.
Very few après-ski options in town, which was a shame.

  4. Kristoffer Feddersen

The kitchen could use better lighting but is well-equipped. The apartments are ideal for a ski vacation.
If you cross the parking lot in front of the house, you can ski through the woods and straight out onto the slopes.

We went on a ski vacation over New Year’s, and our price was about half off. It was fantastic to just cross the street and walk 50 meters to the slopes. Every day we skied in the Madonna di Campiglio and Folgarida areas. There was plenty to do for a week. Buy a ski pass for both areas, but don’t get the most expensive one (it’s not necessary). We’d like to try a summer vacation, as there are plenty of great hiking trails.
On the way down, we stopped at the Brenner Pass—there’s a nice outlet mall with 70 stores right at the top. There we bought ski gear for our daughter, who is now 14 and probably won’t grow any more.
Best ski resort I’ve ever been to—full sun all week and guaranteed snow. Mainly Italian skiers from Northern Italy, a few Americans and Germans, but no Danish skiers.
Shopping in Male, about 15 minutes away, at three large supermarkets and then at the small local one.
We paid 250 euros for cleaning, linens, etc. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but we were glad not to have to bring all those things in the car, which was already packed for our ski trip. For our summer vacation, we’ll probably choose to clean ourselves and bring our own linens.

  6. Ove Kjær

Great starting point for hikes in the local area and surrounding region. Must-sees:
Three lakes from the top of the Folgarida Marilleva cable car (there are actually at least 5 major lakes)
Cascada del Pison, accessible directly from the apartment.
Five lakes from Patascoss, Madonna di Campiglio
Sforzelin dei Paz (2,600 m) starting from Forte Pozzi Alti (1,877 m)
In addition, great hikes from Passo Tonale and Peio

Another week at the ski lodge—everything’s still great. A cozy little gem with fantastic skiing right on your doorstep. Highly recommended. We were four adults—perfect.

  8. Alex K. Madsen

Ski vacation, Week 03-2024. Lovely location close to the slopes. Cozy accommodation—though the living/dining area is a bit small 🙂 Everything works perfectly—and despite the description we were sent, there was both a washer and a dryer 🙂 Cozy but very quiet area – good food at the restaurant next to the ski rental shop. Nice little grocery store nearby – and for bigger shopping trips, there’s a Coop not too far away. Don’t expect a big après-ski scene… for that, you’ll probably have to head to Campiglio 😉

  9. Carsten Mathiasen

A really nice place to stay for four seniors on a ski trip. 150 km of great, wide slopes. A 5-day lift pass for Week 2 in Madonna di Campiglio is quite expensive, though—a good 2,400 DKK!!
We ate breakfast and dinner at the cabin and were able to get by with food from the local mini-market (500 m from the cabin)—they’re very nice. You can order hot lasagna there, and it tasted really good.
We’re seriously considering coming back in January 2025.

Summer vacation, Week 28 – 2023. An older two-story home where the furniture and fixtures are dated, but they suit the house well. We were two adults with our two young children (ages 19 and 21), and there was plenty of room for us, although the ceiling height was a bit low in the bedrooms.
Great location in the town of Folgarida with a view of the mountains from the top balcony. Good hiking and biking trails, and it’s very easy to get around the area to see the waterfalls in the Genovese Valley (must see!) as well as a fantastic hike (5 lakes) in Madonna di Campiglio (must do!).
    We’ll definitely be back.

  11. Julie

A lovely apartment for a summer vacation (July 2022). Great hiking trails and activities for the whole family. Relax on the rooftop terrace; plenty of space for two adults and three older children (ages 8–16).

  12. Jesper Jensen

A nice little apartment for 4 people right by the slopes. Just cross the street and you’re there. The furnishings are okay, though a bit dated, but everything worked fine. The ski storage room is on the right when you look at the house from the street. The new dishwasher was a nice touch.

  13. Morten Sjørslev

Great location. Take Run 2 and turn down the path right after Hotel Alaska.
Then it’s only 150 meters to the house.
The ski area is good with easy access to Ma. Di Campiglio. However, lift tickets are quite expensive.
We were 2 adults and 3 older children, and even though space is limited, it worked out fine. Good value for the money.

  14. Lars Toustrup-Andersen

Great location—just a few minutes’ walk through the woods and you’re on the slopes. Nice ski area, especially since it’s connected to Madonna di Campiglio. The accommodation itself is a bit dated and could use some updating. It’s suitable for 4 people, but the dining and living areas in particular feel too small for more than 4 people. Nice rooms.
